During the establishment of Chinese Chamber of Commerce, a patriotic person, Guangrong Jin, signed a bet for protecting Chinese wharf control. It caused a chaos. The film mainly tells the story of a company chairman Niu Jin gets to know that he has Alzheimer's disease and decided to let his only son Niu Yuwen who works as a village officer come back home. Yuwen doesn't want to be back due to his successful achievement and starts a relationship with Pepper Aunt's daughter Liu Shiyu. Unwilling, Niu Jin comes to the village and uses various schemes to bring his son back to the city. As the father-son battle escalates, Niu Jin and Pepper Aunt develop a tangled comic story. Through the emotional entanglements of the two generations, the film reflects the yearning and pursuit of the villagers' spiritual life after the comprehensive realization of well-off society in the new era. It also shows the responsibility and commitment of the young people in the new era facing various difficulties and challenges, who dare to sacrifice and are willing to contribute.
